Job Summary:
Assemble and inspect medical devices and components effectively and efficiently according to company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Assembles and test medical devices and components following established company policies and procedures.
- Use of basic electronic assembly tools, soldering, hand power equipment and the use of various electronic test equipment.
- Develop an ability to inspect products and to repair, alter or reject a product that does not meet company quality standards.
- Close visual inspection of the fine detail of solder joints so they meet quality assurance standards.
- Meet a level of productivity as determined by management.
- Accurately and completely document required information in lot history records and device history records.
- Pick and distribute material, supplies and subassemblies to work areas, as directed.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Understand and comply with Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform assembly activities per document work instructions.
- Perform quality inspection activities in areas trained in and authorized to do so.
- Communicate with employee at all levels as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years minimum manufacturing experience required
- Soldering experience required, certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform assembly of small components following detailed work instructions
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work under a microscope
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques and accuracy
- Demonstrate ability to positively manage working relationships
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Exceptional personal initiative and desire to drive continuous improvement
- Computer literacy and ability to learn service database software
- Ability and fluency to speak, write and read the English language
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and move around the production floor
- Must have excellent dexterity skills to manipulate small objects at a fast pace using excellent eye hand coordination skills
- Use hands/fingers, to handle or position objects, activate tools or controls
Salary: DOE
Status: Hourly Non-exempt, eligible for overtime
